A therapeutic alliance is your partnership with me and your support people (if you wish to include any) during your therapy journey.

1. The therapy process is driven by YOU, and not done TO you! It is about YOU and YOUR LIFE!

​2. Adult speech therapy works best if both the PROCESS and the GOALS are what YOU want (NOT just what someone ELSE wants for you), you are READY to work for it, AND we figure out how I can help, guide, or partner with you best.

3. You have the RIGHT* to:

express your TRUE self, improve communication, communicate with or without words, to share (or not share) feelings, thoughts or ideas, to make choices for yourself, to request or refuse (and this includes anything characterized as "help"), to be social, to receive respect, to receive communication involving you directed to YOU, to have your priorities & goals acknowledged & respected, to nourishment, to well-being.
